Minimarts and Stalls in Cengkareng Raided

We raid the liquor in minimarts and stalls selling cigarettes and soft drinks

Hundreds of joint personnel from Satpol PP, Army, and National Police held a liquor raid in Cengkareng Sub-District, West Jakarta. The raid which was addressed to some minimarts and stalls aims to sterilize liquor trafficking in accordance to Trade Ministry Regulation No.6/M-DAG/PER/1/2015 that has been applied since April 16, 2015. 

Cengkareng Sub-District Head, Ali Maulana Hakim stated the raid involved 135 joint personnel of Satpol PP, Army, National Police, sub-district and urban village apparatus, also religious leaders. However, the raid target is liquors having alcohol above 5 percent level.

"We raid the liquor in minimarts and stalls selling cigarettes and soft drinks. It was held simultaneously in 6 urban villages which located in Cengkareng Sub-District," he explained, Thursday (4/23). 

In Cengkareng Sub-District, he added, there are 123 minimarts recorded and spread in 6 urban villages. Based on the rules, the raided liquors are such as beer, Topi Miring, Vodka, Mansion, Drum, etc. 

"Including mixture beer a kind of ciu which is usually sold in stalls will also be raided," he explained. 

He mentions, Kapuk, Cengkareng Timur and Kedaung Kali Angke Urban Villages are prone to liquor trafficking. Consequently, it makes the local youth and citizens involve in clash. 

"The brawl in those three areas is often happened almost every day," he closed.
